How Do I get involved?

Cornerstone is a body of believers that serve one another.  It is a place for participation. God has blessed you with talents and abilities and we want you to be a part of our church community. Here is how you can learn, grow and serve at Cornerstone.

Prayer Group-“Could you not pray one hour?”

Every Wednesday morning from 10-11am a group meets to pray for the needs of the church and for prayer requests that have been submitted.  Everyone is invited to attend this prayer meeting.

Children’s Church

Our Children’s church is an exciting ministry.  The class is held Sunday mornings for grades K-6.    Volunteers are needed to be part of skits, object lessons, and puppets. There is also a need to help change the room decoration and set-up when the curriculum changes. This involves painting and creativity.  See Dianna Swain if you would like to participate.

Sunday mornings there is a class for infants and pre-school children.  See Tammy Underwood if you would like to participate.

Youth Ministry

The youth ministry of Cornerstone is for ages 13-18. Watch for upcoming events!

Jail Ministry

Pastor Tom Underwood and Norm Boyd do weekly Bible studies with men at the jail.  The church can get involved in prayer for these meetings and for the men and their families.  There is also a need for donation of Bibles and printed materials to distribute to the men.  There is also opportunity for letter writing to encourage inmates with the Word of God.  Please see Norm Boyd or Pastor Tom if you would like to participate.

Cornerstone Recovery

Meetings are held every Monday  from 6-8 PM. Dinner is provided from 6-6:45 PM  Volunteers are needed  to help out with the meal.  Please click here if you would like to help.

Worship Ministry

The worship team is made up of talented  volunteers that are committed to God and who desire to share the gifts that God has given them.  Please see Pastor Tom if you have a talent that you would like to share.

Greeting the body of believers is a very important job. The responsibilities of an usher are directing people to available seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions and providing direction. If you are interested in helping with this ministry please see Pastor Tom.

Every Sunday morning coffee and tea are available for everyone.   Periodically doughnuts or snacks are donated.  There is no need to ask about donating, just bring in your goodies on Sunday morning.  If you would like to help with this ministry see Tammy Underwood.

Volunteers are always welcome for cleaning.  Every week bathrooms need to be cleaned and carpets swept.  This does not take talent, just the heart of a servant.  If you are interested in helping with this ministry please see Troy Cihan.

Media and Technology

If you have computer skills and would like to help during the services by either recording the message or displaying the songs and verses on the projector,  please see Shad Kistler.
